I currently have five Dumerils Boa, a male and female unrelated pair from 2009, a female 2011 and a pair from 2012. They are a very slow growing snake, and will take some 4 to 5 years to reach maturity. As you can see, they are also a very attractive snake. The female 2009 is very small for her age, and it remains to be seen whether she will grow enough in the next year or so to be able breed from her.

These Boa are a ground Boa, originating from Madagascar, and will usually bury themselves into their substrate, which of course can make them hard to see. However, when they do emerge, they are absolutely gorgeous.
